ABOUT OTS-NYU
The Ottoman Seminar Series at NYU was established in 2006 under the guidance of Professor Leslie Peirce. In 2018, under the direction of Professor Ayşe Baltacıoğlu-Brammer, it became the Ottoman and Turkish Studies and later on Ottoman Studies Initiative (OTS-NYU). Through lectures, panels, workshops, and roundtables, this interdisciplinary platform hosts both established and rising scholars who contribute to our understanding of the convoluted history of the Ottoman Empire. The OTS-NYU serves both the NYU community and the public in general.
Unless noted otherwise, all events are held at the Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies 255 Sullivan St (at Washington Square South).
