Roundtable on Sufism: Recent Studies and Emerging Perspectives
This roundtable brings together scholars specializing in Sufism from the medieval to early modern periods. Its primary aim is to foster a collaborative and productive environment where researchers working on related themes can exchange ideas and engage in in-depth discussions on recent developments and challenges in the field of Sufi studies. Each presenter will have 10–15 minutes to present their topic, followed by a 30-minute interactive discussion. This structure is designed to encourage dynamic exchanges, allowing participants to engage with diverse perspectives within Sufi studies. By examining the recent literature, sources, methodologies and perspectives in the field, this event seeks to deepen our understanding of Sufism across historical and geographical contexts.
